Enrollment

To begin the enrollment process please call to schedule a tour with the Head of School. We provide an application for you at that time. Enrollment preference is given to students enrolling for the entire school year and is dependent on the current availability of space and status of the classes. Preference is also given to siblings of past or current Woodland students.

Toddlers (1 1/2 - 3 years old)
Our Toddler Programs provide a sensitive transition from home to school. Through hands-on activities, these programs focus on emerging language skills, separation and trust, self-help, and motor skills. Children begin their social and educational growth here in a safe, child-centered space created to resemble home. There are three different toddler rooms that serve different, yet overlapping, age groupings.  The faculty and staff will support each family in deciding which program will best serve a particular child.  Many efforts are made to support bonds and attachments made between children and teachers, and often a Toddler teacher will loop with a class to the next Toddler program.  Once a toddler has turned three years old they typically transition to a preschool room that following fall.

Preschool (3 - 6 years old)
The preschool classes serve children between 3-6 years old and class sizes are 23-25 children. We ask that children be toilet-trained for the preschool program (exceptions can be made for special needs children).

Family tuition discount
Families enrolling more than one child in a school year receive a tuition discount of 10% for the child with lower tuition. Woodland also participates in state, county, and city tuition assistance programs, and the UW-Madison CCTAP program.

APPLICATION FEE ($100)
A one-time application fee of $100 is required for each new child and is due when the application for admission is submitted.  The application fee with a completed application will put a child on the wait-list.  Note: Families enrolling more that one child in the same academic year need pay only $50 for the second child.

DEPOSIT ($100)
A $100 deposit is required for each child enrolled and is due at the time of acceptance into the program.  The deposit is refunded the last month of your tuition agreement of with 30 days written notice of termination.

MATERIALS FEE ($45)
A $45 materials fee is required for each child that is enrolled at Woodland.

SNACK FEE ($45/$60)
A $5.00 per month snack fee is required for each child that is enrolled at Woodland. We provide organic snacks and milk.
