Building Project Announcement/Call for Capital Campaign Consultant

Call for Capital Campaign Consultant/WMS Project Announcement

Woodland Montessori School intends to begin capital campaign to raise funds to renovate its existing facilities in order to better meet its mission of inclusion, anti-bias education, and environmental stewardship. Based on preliminary research, and a feasibility study conducted by Aro Eberle Architects, elegant site plans have been developed. The renovations would allow WMS to be fully wheelchair accessible, offer an increased number of enrollment spots to be full-day for working families, and increase nature-based programming with renovated outdoor classrooms. To this end, WMS seeks the assistance of a capital campaign consultant to determine the feasibility of raising the necessary funds to move us to the next phase. If you know a professional who could meet our needs, please contact Erin Trondson, Head of School, director@woodland-montessori.org, or Lynn Munsinger Brown, Board President, lmunsing@gmail.com. The WMS Executive Committee is in the process of collecting individual names who may be interested in hearing more about our project.

More about our project: The building extensions of Woodland Montessori School will provide an environment that embodies Montessori’s principles of beauty, natural materials, and connection with nature, with the goal of enhancing the learning and discovery process of our students, parents, teachers, and surrounding community. The building will maintain the rich heritage of Woodland Montessori School (including a sense of connectivity, collaboration, and community), while embracing the future (including goals of accessibility, inclusion, and sustainability). The building will uphold and extend the school’s mission and vision statements.
