Meet Our Summer Staff - Classroom 2

Lisa

Classroom 2 - Lead

I joined Woodland in 2012. I had the pleasure of being raised by an amazing Mom who was an Inclusion Teacher. That experience helped grow my passion which allowed me the opportunity to work with children for the past 20+ years.

I’m currently attending Seton Montessori Institute in pursuit of my 3-6 Montessori Certification.

If I’m not at Woodland I love to spend time with family and dear friends. I’m also a writer in the making and hope to write a book one day!

Kelsey

Classroom 2 - Assistant

I joined Woodland in 2017. Previously I was a nanny, girl scout troop leader, bible school teacher, and mentor for at risk youth. I received my Paraprofessional Certification from Seton Montessori Institute.

Outside of Woodland I’m with my daughter and family, I love the outdoors and arts and crafts.

Matt

Classroom 2 - Late Day Lead

I joined Woodland in 2017. Prior to that I was the primary care provider for my daughter from birth to age 2. I have also worked in after school care for public & private schools in Indianapolis. I received my Paraprofessional Certification from Seton Montessori Institute, have my undergraduate degree from IU, and am in grad school at UW for social work. Outside of Woodland I enjoy playing & recording music, watching films, cooking and hiking.

Float Teachers

Alicia

Float Teacher

I joined Woodland in 2015 and am currently the Float Teacher.

I have my B.S. in Psychology and a minor in Child Advocacy Studies from Winona State University. I also received my Montessori Paraprofessional Certification from Seton Montessori Institute.

Before, I worked at a preschool in McFarland

Outside of Woodland, I enjoy reading, live music, spending time with my friends and family.

Katrina

Float Teacher

After earning a Bachelor’s in psychology and certificates in LGBT and gender & women’s studies from UW-Madison, I decided to take my past experience as a Montessori teacher’s assistant and expand my work as a substitute teacher at Woodland.

In my free time, I love to read, cook, play guitar, sing, read Yelp reviews and travel. In this year alone I have visited 5 countries: Germany, France, Belgium, Netherlands and Mexico. I am beyond excited to continue my teaching and learning as a Float at Woodland summer camp.
