On July 18th, the WMS Board of Directors will meet to review the current strategic plan and update our mission driven initiatives using our survey and other feedback received throughout the past year.
Woodland educates children, families, and our community through the Montessori philosophy, with an emphasis on inclusivity, diversity and environmental stewardship
WMS Current Strategic Plan:
Goal #1: Pursue Service Growth
Goal #2: Engage a Diverse Population of Students, Families, and Teachers
Goal #3: Strengthen Internal Operations
Goal #4: Recruit, Retain, & Develop Exceptional Well-Qualified Staff
The executive committee, who is steering this meeting, anticipates that the feasibility study, along with the next step of a capital campaign, will likely show up as initiatives under several of these goals.
The school's commitment to high quality Montessori education, inclusivity, diversity, and environmental stewardship will also likely be represented likely under each goal. The board will assign the goals and initiatives to committees and work groups for the 18/19 school year.
This strategic planning meeting will take place on July 18th, place TBD, from 6p-8p. Board meetings are open to all members of Woodland Montessori School (the bylaws define a member as: parent/guardian, employee, or board member). Please watch the blog, Woodland calendar, Facebook, or let us know you are interested in attending this Board Retreat for updates on the meeting location.
We would love to see you there!
