Dear Community Leader, April 2019
At Woodland Montessori, we believe that
everyone - even the small hands of our toddlers and preschoolers - can help. We ask our children to help prepare snack, take care of plants and fish in our classrooms, and clean up after themselves. We all share responsibility for our school and the learning that happens here.
With the same spirit, when our families are faced with illness or hardship, we band together to help. Sometimes that means bringing meals to school to share with a family undergoing a medical emergency. Other times it means supporting a family financially who may otherwise not be able to afford tuition.
“We had two kids at Woodland when unemployment struck our family. I don’t know what we would have done if it wasn’t for the tuition assistance program. We are so grateful our kids had continuity in their daily life until we got our financial feet under us again.”
Today we are asking for your help. Each year we hold a fundraiser in which 100% of the proceeds support our tuition assistance program. This year’s event will be held on May 18, 2019 at HotelRED in Madison. Your donation of goods or services to our silent auction will translate into helping a Woodland family. We are looking for items with that can be picked up or mailed to us by May 3rd, 2019.
Please consider lending a hand. Last year 22% of our families benefited from financial support. We are hoping to grow our capacity to help more families have access to a Montessori education, but we need your help to make that possible.
