Dear Woodland Families,
The Diversity Committee is delighted to announce that the end of year festival will be held on Saturday June 8th, from 10am to 1pm at the inclusive Brittingham park.
This year, several activities are programed, you will find:
At 10:00, greetings and Raquel's face painting;
from 10:30 until 12:30 music by DJ Oscar;
from 11 to 12 science with Agnes.
This is going to be so much fun!
We would also love to discover our community's culinary talents, so join us around a potluck, by bringing one of your family's favorite dishes! Please list the ingredients you used, in case of allergies or special dietary needs.
Woodland will provide utensils, silverware, plates and drinks. Feel free to bring chairs or blankets! We can't wait to taste it all and share the stories behind these dishes!
Finally, the Diversity Committee has been working on gathering supplies to fill backpacks for students in our local community and supporting a Montessori school in Chicago and area. We will kick-off starting collecting supplies at the end of year festival and stop collecting them by the end of July. We would be sincerely grateful if your family could donate any of these following items:
mechanical pencils
colored pencils
markers
crayons
sharpeners
erasers
glue sticks
scissors
notebooks
3-ring binders
pocket folders
calculators
notebook paper
graph paper
computer paper
flash drives
Thank you for your generosity!
Looking forward to seeing you soon,
The Diversity Committee
